june 10 (tom)

The month of June has brought and will undoubtedly continue to bring much self-understanding. Today was a needed and welcome day of introspection for the team (or possibly just for me). As we had nothing to do today but drive, we had the morning to relax. We spent the morning climbing around the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. I know I have already mentioned my adoration for Colorado but today only reaffirmed that opinion. From there, we took the RV down to Amarillo, Texas, and where else would we stay but a Wal Mart?

All this though, allowed for some very good time spent with just our group and with our own thoughts. I have been known to be one who over-thinks things, but today was not one of those days.

This internship has been an interesting one for me. I have had good jobs before, but none that have made me question my life so much. This work has really forced me to better understand my passions. Passion is a tricky word. It can mean a lot of things and true passion is found few and far between. I feel only now am I coming to actually get it.
