June 24 (tom)

It’s the second to last day of Impact, and things are going our way. We’ve had college and high school kids alike all come up to us and ask how to get on next year’s trip. Lifebread has really found a great place for support, growth, and encouragement in Impact.

Today, though we had a bit of an “us” day. Two of the great people we met in Florence came up to visit us in Nashville and show us around town. We went shopping for a while to please the girls, and then went and checked out the Parthenon replica downtown. Then, after spending a little more time at Impact we took a night out on the town. After a month of grunging around in three day old clothes, a cooped up living space, and periodic showers, we got our night of glory. The girls got all dolled up, and the Dusty and I tried to clean up just enough to be reasonable looking company. Unfortunately, my youthful glow kept us out of many of the dancing bars, but we did find a place to go get our two step on.

Impact total: $1850
