This morning, I woke up on the couch of some people that I don’t even know. Oddly enough, that is how the last four nights have been since the Wal Mart parking lot in Amarillo. It’s funny how weird that sounds in the common life of people in the U.S. but how easy it is to share life like that with other people. The life of the hitchhiker is readily scrutinized and seemingly rarely picked up. Really though, we have been spending much of the last month as hitchsleepers, and it is with those people that we have spent the most time with, had the best conversations with, and forged the deepest connections with.
The life of the hitchsleeper: not the kind of book to be judged by the cover.
